Pinc is in!!!

The Pinc Premium jeans are in. They will be featured in an upcoming ad. Jordan Miller took pictures yesterday of our three fabulous models in the jeans, and I can't wait to see the pictures. The girls looked sooo cute, and you would have thought they were 17 instead of 7. They did such a good job and really "worked" the camera. Back to the jeans, they have a designer look and fit, but at a reasonable price. Come by and take a look at them.

Haven't Posted Lately

I know it is a little late, but I've put up pictures from Sophie's first day of school and from western day. She loves school!!! She was a little clingy on western day, but did get on the "horse" long enough for me to get a picture. One of the pictures is of her "milking a cow."

On a different note, the website is back up, but it is still far from updated. Shelly is adding new products everyday trying to get it current. So, keep checking it for new items. We got in some new Deux Par Deux yesterday that is really cute. Also, the new jeans should be in by next week so come by and check them out. I think everyone is going to love them.

Lot's Going On

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but things have been very busy. We were in Switzerland on vacation, and once we returned, it took a couple of weeks to get caught up and back in the swing of things. And, I had to go Dallas to market the weekend after we got back. But, I think we are finally caught up.
There are lots of things going on at Sophie & Co. I rearranged the store yesterday, so it will be a little different the next time you stop by. The website is still out of date as a result of my accidentally deleting all the products, but Shelly has been working very hard to get it updated. She should be finished this week, and it will hopefully be back up by the end of the week, at the latest. So much has come in the last few weeks that there will be lots to see. We have the cutest new things by Hannah Banana and Baby Sara. Also, Nano came in for the boys. It is pretty cute. We also have cute Me Too for the little ones. Oh, and I almost forgot, the Puddle Jumpers came in this week. Also, I've picked up a new line of jeans that should be in soon. They are really cute and affordable. I've got some ideas for special store events I'm playing around with. Check back for details.
On a personal note, it is a big day at our house. Sophie starts "school" tomorrow. Okay, so it isn't really school, but it will be a back change for her after two years in a home environment. I'm praying she'll love it and make an easy adjustment. We have Meet the Teacher tonight. Our little girl is growing up.

Website Still Down

Our website is still down, but hopefully will be back up sooner than later! Just to keep everyone updated, I added a slideshow of some of the new fall items we have gotten in so far. There will be plenty more to come and I will keep everyone posted on the progress of the website.

Freaking Out!!!

Okay, I'm freaking out. Today, I was trying to multi-task and ended up deleting EVERY product and category from my website. I'm hoping there is some way to retrieve, undo, revert, fix it, etc. If not, I'm in serious trouble. It will take forever to redo it. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Chillin at Little River

This is Sophie and Banks watching cartoons and having a snack Saturday night at the river. They had a really good time all weekend. Junior week started today at the river and will last until Friday, but we won't be able to be there for it. We had to come back today. Hopefully, Sophie will get to be there for it next year. It was such a highlight for me every summer when I was growing up. It is really neat because Lori and I went every year from the time we got the cabin when I was 10 until we aged out, and now our kids will be participating. There are other people we grew up with there every summer whose kids are now enjoying it too. It's so great to watch a new generation enjoying it.

I'm sorry we won't be there for Junior Week this year, but we had a really fun weekend before we had to come home. We had a full house: me, mom, Sophie, Betty, Lori and her kids, Bryce, Banks and Trip and Kelly and her daughter Caroline. The kids swam and played on the playground, and we all ate a too much. The kids had a ball and played hard. For some reason though, it's 11:15, and Soph is still awake.

On a different note, I'm expecting several new things to come in at the store this week, so stop by and take a look.

Melt Down

You would think that as much as Sophie has had her picture taken during the course of her 2 1/2 years, she'd be a pro by now. However, that is not the case. Yesterday morning, I took her down town to the Gazette building to have her picture made for the August Her magazine ad. We went upstairs in the old yucky building to a tiny, dark, hot "studio." She would not let me put her down. When I did, she cried and grabbed on to me like a monkey. I tried bribing her with breakfast from Chc-fil-a, the playground and a prize. I even resorted to offering her a Coke if she would cooperate. The photographer tried bribing her with smarties. I then resorted to threats of punishment. None of it worked. Needless to say, they were not able to get a single picture that would work. In a way, I don't blame her because the setting was pretty yucky. So, now we have to reschedule for Tuesday and try again. We are going to do them at the store, so hopefully, she'll do better in an environment she is familiar with. On top of that, Jordan is doing her picture Sunday for my new business cards. I'm not sure how she is going to handle that many photo sessions in such a short time period. Hopefully, we'll get something that will work for each. So, when you see the ad in August's Her Magazine, you'll know that getting the picture for it was no easy task.

Also, on an exciting note, some of our merchandise will be featured in the August issue of her magazine. Look for it the beginning of August.

Tea Party

The other day, Sophie decided to have a tea party, so she took all of her "food" and "dishes" out of her playhouse and set her picnic table for a tea party. She did it all herself, tray of cookies and all. Jorg and I were her invited guests. She even told us where we were supposed to sit. This is a picture from the tea party.

My First Post!!

Welcome to my Blog! My close friends, who know I’m technologically challenged, have been surprised by my technological advances this year. So, they will be even more surprised that I’m venturing into the blog world. This blog will have updates on what is going on at the store, with Sophie and with life in general. Here goes…
